From March 15th - April 5th, The Meditation Center Community embarked on a special Akhanda Japa practice given by Swami Veda Bharati. During these 21 days there was continual mental recitation (Akhanda Japa) of the Lakshmi Gayatri mantra in The Meditation Center Puja Room. The practice was meant to help ensure the health and prosperity of The Center.
Several People have expressed interest in continuing this Practice.
If you are interested in participating in this practice, please call or email The Meditation Center for more information. All are encouraged to participate within their capacity and can join in at any time.
1) We will begin new Lakshmi Gayatri Akhanda Japa April 13th. It will continue unbroken for 105 days until Guru Purnima (July 26th).
2) Again, the goal is to do 150,000 repetitions (1,500 malas). This would be about 15 malas per day. The malas can be done at The Meditation Center or at home. However, Pandit Dabral said to come to TMC as often as it is convenient for you. There will be a tabulation sheet at TMC again for people to keep track of the numbers. Those who are doing the Japa at home, please keep a personal count and let Michael know every two weeks or so how things are going.
3) The Japa can be done every day between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., but not from noon to 3:00 p.m. or midnight to 3:00 a.m. (The Puja room will be available for people to sit most days from 6 am - 6:30 pm (due to evening class schedule)
4) A good time to begin at TMC would be with Ma Radha's 6:00 a.m. Morning Meditation. Panditji said, "It is a very good idea to start at 6:00 a.m. with Morning Prayers, and end the practice after Evening Prayers,
"All the BEST. I will join you with the Guru Purnima celebration at The Meditation Center, and then we will have a BIG Havana, a LONG Havana and an AMAZING Havana."
