Sant S. Dharamananda, also known as (Santji) is a disciple of Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas since 1987.  He has chanted with Swamiji in Honesdale at the Himalayan Institute for 5 nights during a congress festival in 1987.  Santji has been chanting Bhajans and Kirtans for the past 40 years from his home country of Trinidad & Tobago to Canada, India and USA. He received the national music award from the Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago in 1970 and believes that devotional chanting can lead one to inner joy and enlightenment. Santji has recently written a book entitled, “Mystic Experiences with Himalayan Masters”. He produced CDs with some of Swami Rama’s favorite chants entitled Himalayan Chants. Santji is a lifelong meditator.

  

Dhananjaya Ramsamooj (left) also known by DJ is a TM Siddha meditator and business student at the Maharishi University in Fairfield, Iowa.  DJ has been chanting and playing harmonium for the past 14 years.  He chanted in Canada, India and USA and recently sang Bhajans during a wedding in Satara, Maharastra. DJ is a gifted musician and he performed in Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, New York and Wisconsin. He chanted in satsangs with Swami Harihara Maharaj, Swami Hariharananda Bharati, along with Kashi Baba of Varanasi, Swami Atmananda Saraswati, Swami Anand Bharati and few other saints. DJ was blessed by Swami Veda since he was 5 years old. He has been chanting Bhagavad Gita since he was 3 years old and now he sings Bhajans and Kirtans in various languages as English, Gujrati, Marathi, Bengoli, Hindi and Tamil.

 

Himanshu Shankar (right), is also known by Heman. He is a TM Siddha meditator and business major student at the Maharishi University of Management in Iowa. Heman has been playing Tabla for the past 16 years. He was blessed by Swami Rama since he was 6 months old. Heman studied Tabla from Pandit Ravideen Ramsamooj from New York at the East Indian Music Academy when he was 10 years old. He developed certain styles of rhythms and he is best known for Bhajan Style Tabla. Heman also performed in Canada, Trinidad & Tobago and in many places in the USA. He played at the Meditation Center in Minneapolis many years ago and performed for many saints from India.

 

Hemlata Devi Ramsamooj also called by Hemi is a TM meditator and Sanskrit student.  She is a Pre-Med student at the University of Wisconsin Stout. Hemi plays the flute and keyboard.  She has played flute in the Menomonie High School Band for 4 years and played keyboard in the local satsangs for over 5 years. Swami Rama predicted her coming to her mother in Honesdale before she was born since 1993. Hemi was born in 1994.
